The Petitcodiac Boys & Girls Club is situated 43K west of The City of Moncton and 43K east of the Town of Sussex in New Brunswick. The Village of Petitcodiac is nestled in a rural area, surrounded by trees, rolling hills and brooks. The word Petitcodiac is of Indian decent meaning "bend in the river". Petitcodiac is where the Petitcodiac river begins. The river is famous for its Tital Bore, and can be seen in the Moncton area. The Petitcodiac river flows into the Bay of Fundy, and when the high tides come up the fundy coast line, they gush into the mouth of the river, thus - the Tidal Bore.

The village of Petitcodiac is the Hub of several other smaller communities. The population of Petitcodiac is 1,314. The population of Petitcodiac and surrounding rural area is 14,000 people, taking in an area of 1,600 square miles. Many of our people work in the City of Moncton and many more work in the Sussex area, and some even as far away as Saint John. Our school population averages 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in one Regional School. The Petitcodiac Boys & Girls Club serve over 2,3000 children and youth in a period of one year.
