Looking for volunteers to help with fundraising and at The House. The House is for youth ages 12 to 18, however there are several youth from grades 4 and 5 that are trying to hang out at The House. If we had 4 volunteers a month, we could open up the after school room for these youth on Friday nights. If you can help please phone 756-2841.
Becoming a Volunteer
Volunteers offer their own skills and interests to help enhance our programs. As a volunteer for the Petitcodiac Boys & Girls Club, you should enjoy working with children and youth. We welcome role models that are willing to set a good example and most importantly have fun with the kids. We are flexible on time commitments and accept volunteers on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.
There are four steps to becoming a volunteer
1. The Application - An application must be filled out completely before you can start to volunteer. We require two references from people such as teachers, guidance counselors, and friends. Please no family members.
2. The Interview - A brief interview to determine your qualifications and interests will follow.
3. Police checks - A criminal record check is required for any volunteer over the age of 18 years. To complete the police check you will require photo I.D. and proof of address. This can be done at your local police station. A police check must be completed before you can start to volunteer.
4. Volunteer Training - All volunteers will be trained by a qualified staff member.
